About 40 years ago, my father, Mike Sr., started making fishing lures as a hobby. He would sit in our basement, and I would watch in amazement, for hours on end, while my dad made every kind of spinner and fly known. When someone would come over to our house to purchase some of these fine lures, they would ask where they could get their reel fixed, and just like that Mike’s Reel Repair was born! S
oon we had people coming over all hours of the day wanting parts and repairs done! He grew this business from a hobby to a business in a matter of years, and until his passing from cancer in 1999, still ran the business from the basement in the house. In 2000, the shop moved out of the house on Gilmore Dr. to a warehouse near the airport in Abbotsford, then onto Chilliwack, our current home, and we now ship all throughout the world, and have many US and overseas customers. Now after 22 years at the Abbotsford location, we are very excited to be moving the shop to the town that Mike and Cindy have called home since 2003, CHILLIWACK, BC., where you will find some of the finest fishing in the world!!
