We have received some new information about the missing Samsung box. Someone told us they saw a dad and two kids carrying the box and loading into the backseat of a truck that has a bike rack on the back of the truck. This, combined with the fact that more items that skaters built and donated and been taken since then, lead us to believe that someone is trying to set up a backyard skatepark. We don’t know for sure it’s someone local, but since the thefts were several days apart, we are making an assumption that the person lives reasonably close to Cobourg.

Super disappointing to find out that a father is teaching his kids that stealing is A-OK. Can’t even believe that this has happened. Very gross behaviour from an adult who should know better.

So our request now is that if you’ve noticed someone on your street has set up a backyard/driveway skatepark, try to see if you notice a long black box that has Samsung cut out of the metal. The other pieces taken are wooden mini ramps and a wooden grind rail with metal on top. The Samsung box is absolutely a one of a kind piece, so if you see someone has it, it is 100% our stolen box. Please let us know! Or even just call the police, they know we are looking for this box.

We want it back! The skatepark features that were made and donated to the Cobourg Skatepark were meant for everyone to enjoy, not just one family for their own use.
