Thank you for all of the comments and messages regarding yesterday’s retirement post. I am overwhelmed by the response. I really appreciate each and every one of you for taking the time to share your stories, well wishes, praise and thanks. Reading your messages has been very touching and it’s a lot to process. I feel incredibly fortunate to have such a wonderful send off.

RETIRING

After 54 years of designing and making goalie equipment, it is with a heavy heart that I am announcing my retirement.

My journey began in 1970 with a desire to better protect myself and other goalies. I started making custom goalie masks and then expanded into pads, pants, gloves and other essential goalie gear. I am grateful for being able to live my dream, and have loved every minute of it.

To everyone who has taken a chance on Brown equipment, it has been a privilege to make gear for you — Thank you.

Happy Monday!!! I hope you all had a great weekend, sorry for the radio silence, I’ve been trying to limit my screen time with this concussion. Headaches flare up if I’m on the phone/computer too much. Not fun, and also not looking good for summer hockey participation. Who’s playing summer hockey???
