Weā€™re so excited to welcome bestselling NL author Donna Morrissey to The Bookshop NL for a special evening of reading, conversation, and book signing Friday, August 28th from 7:30-8:30pm.

Weā€™ll have three of Donnaā€™s most recently published books available for purchase that evening, including her newest release ā€œTell it to the Waterā€. Pick up a copy (or all three!) at the event and have it signed by Donna herself, or bring along your favourite book(s) by her to discuss and get signed!

Join the The Bookshop NL this evening from 6:30-8:30 at 62 Broadway as we connect with author Joanna Thurlow and discuss her debut novel ā€œForever is the Sweetest Conā€.

Joanna Thurlow is a writer & editor, yoga teacher, and professionally trained baker who proudly claims to make the worldā€™s best chocolate chip cookies. Over the past two decades, she has taught yoga with , owned several studios, and lived in five different countries while completing her MA in Spanish. A lover of books, sunsets at the family cottage, and ā€œpie-in-a-bathing-suitā€ season, Joanna is happiest with her husband, their two children, and the dog she never expected to adore. Letā€™s give her a warm welcome as she returns to her home town to share her journey.

Join us for a Kitchen Party! šŸŽ¶

Come by our new location for some live music and great food. We're celebrating with a Kitchen Party on Wednesday, August 12th, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Food Hub (62 Broadway, Corner Brook).

Bring a recipe you love to swap with someone new, then settle in to taste, chat, and catch up with friends over locally inspired finger treats by Park West and locally foraged food from Joie de Vivre. Live music from Louis McDonald and Scott Shepherd will keep the evening going, plus we'll have a bottling demo you won't want to miss.

Come hungry, come curious, and don't forget that recipe!
