🏛️ BIG SHINY IS CLOSING 🏛️

After 4.5 years of slinging records in Corso Italia and around the world, BIG SHINY is going to be shutting down operations on July 13th. A new adventure awaits our family overseas in the UK and now is the time to pursue it.

It is not an easy decision to make and I want to express my deepest gratitude to those who supported the vision of our shop. I will cherish the connections I have made, and I will treasure the simple joy of sharing music with you all.

Thank you, and keep an eye on for any BIG SHINY developments or rebirths.

Sunday April 21st will be hosting a BIG SHINY pop up event! will be slinging records from 11-4pm and spinning blissed out selections to ease the mind. True History Brewery is generously supplying us with some complimentary brews for your enjoyment. Come flip through some records and basque in the comfort of Sage & Thistle’s natural creations!

BIG SHINY will be going dark for a few days while I go as far south as possible. We will return on March 23rd to resume our regular operations. Online orders will still be a go but you’ll have to wait until the 23rd before orders can be collected or mailed out. Thanks for your patience and see you soon. 🎣

🕛 NEW 2024 HOURS 🕕

After much humming and hawing I've decided to start the year off with a change to our regular hours. BIG SHINY will no longer be open to walk-ins on Wednesdays. Our new hours will now be Thursday - Saturday, 12-6pm. I am also hoping to add some features for easier local pickup and cheaper shipping, but more to come on this as it progresses. Thank you for your continued support and looking forward to seeing you all soon!

This Friday Nov 17th BIG SHINY will be joining our favourite refillery The Green Jar, for an evening of vinyl and eco friendly shopping. The Green Jar has been an absolute necessity in our household and has become an integral hub in the community to help offset waste! Bring a container to fill and browse their incredible selection of eco-friendly products. 1061 St Clair Ave West, 7-10pm.
