Finishing touches: one of my favorite things to do.

Unlike my Tiny Hearts Beanie, a lot of the hats you'll receive from Lake Huron Woollens are one-of-a-kind pieces due to the hand dyed nature of the yarn I use. No two skeins are exactly the same. The last couple of days have felt like spring and I haven’t wanted to wear my super bulky hat. One of these would be perfect and I may have to make one for myself. My girls love them too.

The Alpine Hat

For my fellow knitters, if you haven’t yet tried Jess’ pattern for this beanie, you need to. It’s so perfect for Noventa. And if you haven’t tried Noventa yet, you need to get on that. It’s just so lovely to knit with. It has weight to it that gives your knits a nice drape and it’s the perfect amount of squish for a bulky yarn. I love it so much!

Keep your eyes open for a small shop update happening today and a surprise this weekend. I’ve been sitting on some new items for a little while now and just became so overwhelmed with life and raising littles that I’ve neglected my shop.

All the new items will be super soft and squishy, 100% merino wool in a variety of colours. I have adult sizes, ready-to-ship, but don’t forget about custom orders! I’d love to work with you to make something exactly perfect for you or someone you love.
