Man, I used to LOVE knitting these little bow tiebacks! 🥰

This image was one that was sent to me when I had my Prop Along going years ago (I'd send a prop to a photographer who'd photograph it, then she'd send it to another photographer who'd photograph it, and another and another and so on until at the end of the month, all photos that had been sent to me would be put in an album and you guys would vote for your favourite and that photographer would be gifted the prop).

I love how my craft has evolved over the years.

In the beginning, I was grappling with figuring out sizing, what yarn weight I enjoyed working with, how to write a pattern so that other people could easily follow and truly enjoy creating their own photo props.

Over the years, my techniques have changed and improved and I'm not so all over the place and feeling much more certain about what works, what I like, and where I want to take this love of mine.

*last year I improved the shaping of my simple pixie bonnet knitting pattern by including German short rows and it made SUCH a difference*

I've discovered I don't really like social platforms anymore because of the bots, scams and AI. I don't know what to do about it yet and am currently kind of sitting in disbelief and limbo.

I love knitting. I love designing. And, I also love serving the newborn community with ready to ship props and knitting patterns.

But, I need to earn an income, too. Anyone else relate?

How many cats do you have?

I have two: Sally Cat, my 10 year old tuxedo and Charlie Cat, my 6 year old tabby. They're both freaking adorable, have completely different personalities, and we have wonderful conversations and cuddle fests. They make my days so much better and I love them to the moon and back!
