After a lot of waiting, uncertainty, and hoping, we finally received the full package for my upcoming ADR surgery in Germany, including the exact date and total cost. This is a life-changing opportunity, and now that everything is confirmed, we’re doing everything we can to make it happen.
This has been a 3 year battle of alot of long sleepless nights, painful days and many many Dr and Surgeon appointments. We had almost given up hope until we found the ONZ Clinic in Germany that has been helping people with these surgeries for 30 years that Canada won't approve.
The truth is, we had already made the decision to move forward with the closure weeks ago, as many of you already know.
We knew this surgery was the only real path toward getting my life back, even before we had the exact date. That’s why we decided to start selling inventory and furniture and decor piece by piece and doing everything we could to prepare for what was coming. We didn't really have a plan, date or cost of the surgery when we decide this, we just knew we would have alot of money to raise in a short time frame.
Now that everything is official, we’re taking the hardest step yet, closing for April 15th and selling everthing in Kootenay Smokin Grillz and Pageboy Studio to raise the funds needed for the surgery, and we mean everything! All inventory, furniture, shelving, wall art and decor.

Letting these businesses go is an emotional rollercoaster ontop of what's yet to come with this trip for surgery that’s so hard to describe.
These businesses have been our routine, our pride, our dreams, our stress, our joy and pieces of our identity for the last few years.
As much as this decision hurts, the fear of not getting this surgery and staying in the same pain…is even harder.
That being said, what’s kept us standing through all of this is our community! Your support, your messages, check-ins, purchases and kind words has held us up on days when the fear felt overwhelming. You’ve shown us that we’re not facing this alone, and that kind of support is something we’ll never forget.
Healing has to come first now. We’re scared, but we’re hopeful and we’re moving forward because of all of you.
