The sun sets on yet another successful event, thanks to Sisterhood Fibres although, we did miss our friend Sisterhood Fibres . Some of the best moments are when you come to share the stunningly beautiful and skilled pieces of art for which wool and wanderlust yarn was chosen. Each piece represents a lot of hours, a lot of skill and effort, and nothing brings us greater pleasure. And as always, old friends and new friends, are the highlights of all of the fibre events. Thank you Sisterhood Fibres and thanks to each and every one of you that came to share and shop. Once again, a warm and wonderful weekend, within this community. Sisterhood Fibres

OMG….nothing better than creating amazing colorways, no pressure, no plan, just colors that you feel deeply will work beautifully….and every now and then, magic, yes, magic is the result!! Enlarge this, lol, and marvel at the gentle color transitions, the perfect shade of a white sand beach, and that speckling with dye breaks…….cannot wait to get this out to the fall shows!

Ancient Arts Hand Dyed Yarn was a magical experience! Karoline and Dan were most gracious in letting me in (truth be told, parked outside the car drooling, waiting for them to open), the moment they arrived lol. There are over 17,000 skeins of yarn in this store, and while I have always felt a kinship with their colorways, I literally wanted to spend time with every single one of them. My purchase included Eco-Friendly Nettle Soft, 68% merino, 32% nettle. Nettle is a low-impact, sustainable plant fiber from China, where the plants reach over 10 ft tall. The processed nettle combined with merino yields a smooth finish, almost like silk/merino, but offers breathable qualities, feeling warm in winter and cool in summer. I cannot wait to try it! I highly encourage a trip to this enchanting world of fibre, colour, and creativity.
