🚧 A heartbreaking reminder.

Yesterday, a 53-year-old construction worker lost his life after being struck by a transport truck while working on Highway 2 in Burton, New Brunswick.

He wasn't just a worker in a safety vest.

He was someone's family member, friend, co-worker, and loved one.

Every day, road construction crews, traffic control personnel, sign installers, and maintenance workers step into active work zones to help keep our roads safe. They work just a few feet away from moving traffic, often in challenging conditions, trusting that drivers will slow down, stay alert, and respect the work zone.

Behind every cone, barrel, sign, and flashing light is a person doing their job.

We extend our deepest condolences to the worker's family, friends, co-workers, and everyone affected by this tragic loss.

Please remember:

⚠️ Follow posted signs and directions.
⚠️ Give workers the space they need to do their jobs safely.

Because everyone deserves to make it home at the end of the day.
