We made that post a year ago. It is still valid. Please be mindful of what you're donating and how you're packing it. A kitchen knife among clothing poses a real hazard and can seriously harm a volunteer.

Thanks for the donations, you keep us going! You're the best! Here are some examples of stuff we can't take:
Items you might have in your nightstand drawer, medications, lotions, and potions; any kind of food, helmets, strollers, and car seats; printers, ink, and cartridges; stained and ripped clothes; and small appliances that don't work.

This is for various reasons, like liability, health hazards, and managing the time our volunteers dedicate to sorting. Thank you Dawson!

Free stuff by the entrance. Maybe there is something you can use? Come check it out!

This is also a nudge to remind folks that we are a very small store with no storage. We can only accept clothes that are clean and in great condition. Carhartt is a great brand, but if it is more holes than pants, we rather not take it.
No single shoes and socks, not even if they're clean. No food and toiletries, medications. No helmets or other safety gear. Faulty and dirty appliances are another thing we can't use.
We receive an abundance of donations right now and unfortunately, a lot of it has to be thrown out.
We really are so very grateful for your support and donations. But maybe before you drop it off, ask yourself: Would I give this to my best friend? If the answer is no, please find other ways to part with it.
You help us, the volunteers and every costumer by doing that.
