This made me sad. The wind blew this planter off the railing and it landed top down. I was in the back raking grass when the storm came in out of nowhere. The cloud were there, the lightning was flashing over yonder. And then I blinked. And then the wind was out of control. By the time I got back to the house the rain was just a coming down!! Let’s hope these petunias are as hearty as I think they are and that they come back.

24 years married. It’s not a “special” number but it’s a big one when it comes to marriage. I’m so glad I committed to this man. He is a gem. One of the most selfless and generous guys I know. What does it mean when a tag reads “dead heading not necessary”. It doesn’t mean that the blooms won’t die. It means that you don’t need to dead head in order to have big full plants with beautiful blooms. These are my supertunias. I have yet to remove a dead blossom, and look at all that color!! There’s one plant of each color per planter. Some of them are huge!! Hope your flowers are growing well. Seems like summer is finally here.

Did you buy cantaloupe plants from us? How are they doing? What size cantaloupe do you have growing on them. I planted up 6 for myself and today I trimmed the plants. Any new fruit that would possibly come on now won’t have time to grow anyhow. By trimming back the plant, it focuses more on growing the fruit. I have a total of 17; biggest one measuring around 4” across with the smallest only measuring about 2”. I have included a before and after picture of the trimming I did.
