has been a mainstay in the Dawson Creek landscape for over 5 decades. Originally opened in September 1959 as a small store inside the New Palace Hotel and Cafe, the store has changed locations over the years but has never lost its local flavour. Bing’s Furniture and Appliances is a family venture locally owned and operated by the Mah’s. Ed Mah took over the business in 1980 when his parents, Bing

and Shirley Mah decided to retire. The company prides itself on the fact that they have survived so long as a one-business, one-location store in the midst of an influx of big box stores and chains. Often described as hard working, generous citizens, the Mah’s support local Dawson Creek business whenever possible – when they renovated the current store location, almost all of the renovation budget was spent locally (with the exception of the purchase of neon signs). Bing’s Furniture and Appliances offers quality products and services with the added benefit of knowing that, when you shop at Bing’s, the dollars spent stay in the local economy.
