Karen has been part of the co-op for only a short time but she makes up for it by having lots of variety in what she creates. Mainly Karen is a potter but her husband, Tim, polished stone and together they make pendants. Karen and time also combine their talents to make table top zen gardens using a pottery base filled with sand and rocks. Karen even makes small tools to take the sand. We are open everyday, 10-5:30. Each kit includes cut glass pieces that you place in wet concrete before the concrete sets. These kits make a great activity for kids and adults alike. We are open everyday, 10-5:30. Leslie Soopalu has been a weaver since she was gifted a loom in 2020 and was immediately smitten. Over the past 6 years she has found every warp a learning process and an exercise in patience. Her mind races ahead with ideas for the next warp but her hands can only go so fast. She has embraced slow fashion. Leslie has table runners, buttons, and bags available. We are open everyday, 10-5:30. Upper Ottawa Valley GLAM

Well, we all start somewhere!
I've been wanting to play with creating my own mandala stencils, so time to sit down and learn. Just playing with the program, pens, lines, etc.
Some days will obviously be worse for me. This is such a great visual on how unsteady my hands can be (I erased the worst!). Not the worst they get by far, but some days I really need to put any & all tools down & walk away.
I look forward to learning more on better days, and seeing where I can go with this.

Another dozen felted soaps headed to the Valley Artisans’ Co-op. Phyllis Heeney makes the soaps out of moose and deer fat she scrapes off the leather. She makes her drums out of the hides. It’s a cooperative venture. 🇨🇦
