About The Artist
Joëlle Martin is a watercolor, oil and acrylic painter living in Dunsinane, New Brunswick. Her studio is located in her peaceful lakeside lodge where she slowly brings her artworks to life. Originally a makeup artist, Joëlle merged her painting skills with her 15 years of makeup artistry experience bringing about an aesthetic that is detailed and layered along with a whimsical and playful twist on realism. Creating images of the natural world allows her to continually explore new subjects and places, inviting the viewer to see nature in diverse ways. Her hope is that her creations will bring on a sense of wonder and inspire you to take a closer look at the perfect beauty of nature.

September 1st already! What a whirlwind these past four months have been. My heart has been so full since we opened the doors to Meadow House & Co. 🫶🏼

I’m so incredibly grateful for all the love and support everyone has shown us. It truly feels like a dream come true, and knowing that people feel welcomed and inspired when they walk through those doors means more to me than I can put into words.

It’s been a little quiet over here as I’ve been learning to navigate this new shop-owner life. Opening a physical shop has always been about connecting with people in person, but I’m also realizing that this platform can be such a lovely way to stay connected and meet people who share the same interests.

I’m still figuring out what Mon Pré will become, but I think I’d like it to be a little more personal—a place to share my daily inspiration, life, paintings, treasure-hunting adventures and the old things I love, without everything having to be about the shop.

I love antiques and vintage goods not just because I sell them, but because I genuinely love collecting them, learning their stories and sharing that love with others. I want this little corner to be more about the passion behind it all.

And maybe without the pressure of having to constantly post, keep up with an algorithm, or worry that I’ll be forgotten if I disappear for a while.

I’d rather share when I have something I genuinely want to share.

So, I’m curious… does this direction make sense to you? I’d love to hear what you’d like to see more of here—behind-the-scenes, treasure hunting, paintings, everyday inspiration, or a little bit of everything? 🤎

My Dairytown Market shop is officially closed.

Thank you so much to everyone who stopped by, supported, and cheered on my little corner over the years. It started small and grew into something really special, and I’m so grateful for all the love and encouragement along the way.

I’m stepping into a new chapter now—one that’s been a long-time dream. A shop where I get to be there in person, create, connect, and build a real sense of community. That’s what I’m most excited for.

Wow!! I have to say I’m a little overwhelmed (in the best way) by all the encouraging messages some of you sent after yesterday’s post. Thank you so much for the kind words, likes, follows, and all the love — it truly means more than I can say. 🤍🤍🤍

Opening something new is incredibly exciting… and also a little scary. Your support has made me feel braver and more confident that this idea might actually work 😄

I’ve been working on something new behind the scenes — something I’ve been dreaming about for a long time.

Meadow House is a shop I’m opening in Sussex — a place for antiques, vintage goods, and thoughtfully selected pre-loved pieces.

Mon Pré will still be my creative home, but it will now have a physical one too. It will live inside Meadow House as my in-house brand.

More details soon. For now, I’m just feeling grateful and excited. I’ll be sharing the slow, behind-the-scenes process as the space comes together, and I hope you’ll follow along Meadow House & Co.🚪
