Been scratching my head as to what kind of window to do next....was going through some old pictures from over the last 10 seasons for inspiration...I got nothing ;) We'll see.

Many thanks to customers and friends who have donated books to our little book library outside of the store. It has been HUGELY well received .. refilled many times, and with that said, if anyone has any novels they'd part with, we would be happy to receive. :)

If you saw one of our posts earlier about replacing and updating the benches, chairs and flower boxes on the north side of the channel...we are getting there...watch for the new red chairs, new planters. Laila McGuire and her husband Dean have been sanding and staining the benches. We had tried to find people that would volunteer to take away the old flower boxes and the Muskoka chairs and today, Linda Clark Boothby and staff from Lake of Bays Garden Centre came down and hauled them all way. Beyond grateful! Stay tuned for an update along with a note regarding all who donated or contributed in some way to pull it all together. Community Partnership

The north side of the Dorset Village channel is being revitalized by generous and spirited community businesses and volunteers. The updated look will create enjoyment for all and be a more welcoming site for those coming by water.

The original Muskoka chairs and benches were donated by many families over the years in memory of loved ones.
New red resin chairs have been ordered, flowers planters, and the benches are in process of being sanded and painted by energetic volunteers.

The original brass plaques will be kept and affixed to the new chairs and bench ones will remain.

WE NEED HELP TO REMOVE THE DIRT AND FLOWER BOXES (6) AND 6 WOODEN CHAIRS.... (good for a bonfire perhaps).

P.S. For 3 years volunteers Rick and Lorna have been watering the flowers, never missing a week to ensure the they stay healthy and colourful and have stepped up to the plate for this sumner as well!
