Hickory stripe, but make it Samurai.

The SM810DX-HC takes a familiar workwear fabric and turns the volume way up. 17oz Japanese hickory denim, rough texture, serious weight, and a wide straight fit that gives the fabric room to actually move.

Samurai kept the details clean, triple needle construction, black iron buttons, deep rise, and none of the extra carpenter pockets or hammer loops. Just a really strong silhouette and a fabric that’s going to look better the harder you wear it.

The stripes will soften, crease and pick up contrast over time, exactly the kind of piece that becomes yours the longer you live in it.

A little western, a little softer around the edges.

The Cassidy from Nashville’s Imogene + Willie is cut from 13oz indigo striped denim with a relaxed mid rise, an easy fit through the hips, and a long column shaped leg.

The subtle stripe gives a nod to vintage work pants, while the sloped back pockets and relaxed shape keep the silhouette from feeling too traditional.

They feel just as natural with a simple tee as they do with a soft blouse or cropped knit. Easy to wear, with enough character to make them your own.

Same shirt, different points in its life.

One is brand new. The other has seen about a year of wear and six washes.

The Flat Head’s Indigo Block Check Flannel is woven in Japan using indigo rope dyed yarn, allowing the colour to gradually shift from deep navy into lighter, more varied shades of blue. With wear, the check becomes more pronounced, the seams begin to pucker and the shirt slowly takes on a character of its own.

It isn’t made to stay looking new.

Wear it often. Wash it when it needs it. Let it become yours.

Four years of Private & Co.

Hard to believe it’s already been four years.

A lot has changed, but the idea behind the shop is still pretty simple. Good clothing, good people, and sharing the stories and details behind the things we’re into.
