Want to keep your wheels rolling smoothly all season long? 🛠️🚴‍♂️

Whether you’re cruising on a cruiser, crushing kms on a hybrid, grinding gravel, or hitting the singletrack on your mountain bike, knowing the maintenance basics is a total game-changer.

We're hosting Bike Care & Maintenance Classes, and they’re designed for all types of bikes and riders!

Here’s the best part: registration is only $30, BUT you get a $30 in-store voucher to spend on tools and accessories right after the class.

That means hands-on knowledge from the pros, and a great opportunity to stock up on your own l**e, tire levers, or multi-tools. Essentially, the class is free! 🙌

Spots are limited, so secure yours before they fill up!

đź”— Head over to Eventbrite and search "Freewheel Cycle" to grab your ticket. See you there!

This week we will be meeting in the Freewheel parking lot and riding out at 6pm so please show up early and have your bike and gear ready to go.

This year we are moving away from calling our ride an Intermediate/Advanced ride and we are calling it a social MTB ride. What does this mean? We want to widen the range of mountain bikers at our rides as we realize just how subjective “Intermediate” can be.

For each ride, we will split into different groups based on distance, speed, and the number (and length) of breaks. We will aim for 3 different groups depending on the number of people and ride leaders.

Riders should be comfortable, and have experience, riding...
- singletrack
- roots
- rocks
- punchy climbs
- technical descents
- for 2-2.5 hours (with some short breaks)

It is ok if you have to get off of your bike for some of the more advanced sections but you should not have to get off of your bike for every root or tiny hill. This is not a beginner ride.

See you Thursday and don’t forget to register at Eventbrite — see link in bio for more info.

This week, as we stick to mostly asphalt, our Travel x Gravel A and B rides will follow two completely different routes based on speed and elevation.

Group A will focus on elevation including road climbs up Wilson Street and Inksetter Rd with some gravel across Paddy Greene - Powerline - Slote Rd.

Group B will head into Aldershot with a stop at Sunfish Pond and some quiet detours through various cemeteries. Distances are similar, but this route has much less elevation and climbing–but still some.

We also wanted to remind all of you that front and rear lights are mandatory for these rides. Full details and registration are available at Eventbrite. Follow the link in our bio. Routes will be shared before the ride so keep an eye out on our stories.

We are trying our luck at Puslinch again this week as we keep an eye on the weather. Last week, only a handful or people came out as it was raining in Dundas but we had fantastic trail conditions in Puslinch.

This year we are moving away from calling our ride an Intermediate/Advanced ride and we are calling it a social MTB ride. What does this mean? We want to widen the range of mountain bikers at our rides as we realize just how subjective “Intermediate” can be.

Riders should be comfortable, and have experience, riding...

It is ok if you have to get off of your bike for some of the more advanced sections but you should not have to get off of your bike for every root or hill. This is not a beginner ride.

We are excited to ride with all of you again and see some new faces. See you next Thursday and don’t forget to register at Eventbrite — see link in bio for more info and directions to Puslinch.
