Last sneak peek of my next original painting before I show you the full piece! Here's some information about the inspiration:

Many people incorrectly assume David Bowie had heterochromia (two different coloured eyes) when in fact he had anisocoria - two different sized pupils. In 1962, Bowie got in a fight with his friend over a girl and got punched in the left eye. The resulting blow scratched his eye and paralyzed the muscles responsible for iris contraction, leaving him with a distinct red-eye appearance in photographs.

Raccoon eyes glow red at night due to a structure in their eyes that allows them to see in the dark. They have poor long-distance vision and are thought to be either colour-blind or at least poor at distinguishing colour.

Another sneak peek of my next original painting. Here's some information about the inspiration:

Ziggy Stardust had a gold "astral sphere" on his forehead, but the lightning bolt from Aladdin Sane is so iconic I had to include it on this painting. Pierre Laroche painted it on Bowie for the photoshoot, he got the shape from a National Panasonic rice-cooker in the studio. The photoshoot was the only time Bowie had the design on his face. The selected cover of the album was the most expensive cover art ever made at the time.

A racoon's black bandit mask is its most characteristic and familiar feature. One hypothesis for the dark fur is that it may help reduce glare and enhance the nocturnal animal's night vision.

Another sneak peek of my next original painting. Here's some information about the inspiration:

The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders from Mars took less than two weeks to record over three months and 95% of the vocals on the album were done in one take. Beneath the album credits on the back cover were the words: “TO BE PLAYED AT MAXIMUM VOLUME.” And In 2017, the album was chosen for preservation in the US National Recording Registry, being deemed “culturally, historically, or artistically significant” by the Library of Congress.

A raccoon’s hearing is so sharp that it can detect even the movement of earthworms underground. Known to be extremely vocal creatures, they interact by using more than 200 different sounds, which include purring, chittering, growling, snarling, hissing, whimpering, and even screeching like owls

Sneak peek of my next original painting. Here's some information about the inspiration:

David Bowie's early Ziggy Stardust outfits were designed by his close friends Freddi Burretti and Sue Frost. He was inspired by Stanley Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange but wanted to play with colour and pattern to soften up the hardness of the outfits. His later costumes were designed by famed Japanese designer Kansai Yamamoto.

Raccoon's fur used to be a form of payment in the early 19 and 20 century and their striped tails are a form of environmental camouflage.

I am so grateful to for the opportunity to display my art in their awesome brewery. I added a pint of "The Nightman Cometh" dark ale 6.5% to this wonderfully tacky retro painting from 1977. This painting was getting thrown out, and I figured it deserved a beer to freshen it up.

These paintings found a new home: Grogu, Hoth, Star-Destroyer, and Imperial beach. I do not have prints of these, they are one-of-a-kind paintings. If you want one of your own I will be posting more on and displaying them inside Irrational Brewing in Edmonton later this week. I can do custom orders, DM for inquiries. I can also add to any painting that you find. I am willing to paint more than StarWars characters, you imagination is the limit.

It's almost the birthday of this custom piece I did for my ✨super amazing✨ girlfriend. Meaning it's also almost her birthday and I should figure out what I'm going to do this year! 🤔

I sculpted this using super sculpey clay. wanted a racoon for her birthday, and I figued she could use a reading buddy. Seeing as how there are no racoons around where we live, I picked this character from out favorite lo-fi music channel on youtube.
