I may not be the cleanest artist and a day of printing always results in black fingers and ink on my face but I have been enjoying making hundreds of patches in preparation for a new and exciting market season with you all.

Sometimes one must make the best of a sad situation and this is no more true then in the art world. This little beetle was supposed to join my collection of blocks for printing on my upcycled clothing but alas no sooner had I done a batch of 10 did my lovely dog brynja decide that it looked like a good chew toy. So instead of being sad about its demise I took my 10 patches and added too them to make limited edition patches which I will have only a few for sale.

So if you love this little beetle and just have to have it don't miss your chance.

Ocean critters are coming to the prairies this year, these two friends were my first two blocks that I carved and painted this year and I have to say I love them. Something you may not know is that I spent the bulk of my childhood in Nova Scotia with the ocean closer than the mountains are to me now and I will admit that I do miss seeing the critters and exploring the beaches. One thing that I used to see regularly was jellyfish in the harbor when crossing on the ferry as well as starfish stuck to all of the piers.

For now these critters are only available as patches but I will be printing them on paper at some point in the near future so keep your eyes open.

I am happy to report that everyone's favourite market girl Brynja had follow-up blood work today and although things are not back to normal they are significantly improved and we will be looking at weening her off of some of her medications next week. With that being said she is still on a pile of meds and as such will most definitely be spending the day with me holding down the fort at Saturday and Sunday so come on down and give her some love and help support her people with her ongoing vet care ☺️
vick is also going to be at the

I will have a few of these special edition prints of fire w**d and shaggy mane mushrooms with their laten and common names hand written and framed in simple floating frames available tomorrow 11-4pm

Chamaenerion angustifolium otherwise known as Firew**d is a beautiful and resilient flower which is often one of the first plants to regrow after fire sweeps through an area.

Coprinus comatus commonly referred to as the shaggy mane or only cap mushroom is a truly unique organism which goes through a process called deliquescence where they digest their own tissues and appear to melt in-order to spread their spores effectively.
