It's been six months now since we moved from the front of the market to the back (near entrance 4) and people are still finding us! And saying they are so happy that we haven't shut down or moved out. Thanks for the encouragement, folks!

We loaded up on mostly horror titles at an auction this week. King, Koontz and more. Also some SF and fantasy. Close to 150 books that we'll be easing onto the shelves over the next few weeks. The King titles are up now. The rest to follow.

The bookstore opens in a new space this weekend. Still in Queen Mary's Market, but two rows back, very close to Entrance 4 in the southwest corner of the building. It's a smaller space but there's the same range and variety of books as we've always had. We've dropped a couple of things from our stock, including auto repair manuals and vintage and arts items. As always, there will be an infusion of new stock every week. Check it out.

I'm just getting my inventory and accounts up to date after our weekend's business, and I'm struck by the range of interests our customers have shown in their purchases. So I thought I'd share the list of books sold last weekend so you can see what I mean.

As happens most weekends, the biggest chunk of our business is in what I call the "hard" genres -- the Cobens and Cusslers, the Pattersons, Koontzes, Sandfords, and Smiths. But there's also a lot of action in the non-fiction areas, notably self-help and hockey. There's action in the vampyres section. And speculative fiction and fantasy, as alway, is pretty strong.

We do our best to cater to a variety of interests and taste in books.
