I’ve been going back to my roots lately and dabbling in more cross stitch projects. There’s something so satisfying and soothing of filling in all those little squares!
I purchased this set of patterns from Etsy as something to keep me busy while I was on holidays and I decided to gift them to my best friend instead 💗

I just completed my ✨first✨ Cricut project! I am so excited that I can now bring the Cricut into my embroidery business and see what happens along the way! I decided a first east project would be to put numbers on my thread boxes as the old method of permanent marker had worn off.
While I will still be focusing on embroidery and cross stitch, I will start accepting orders for decal and stickers and possibly venture onto other things once I get the machine figured out!

Believe it or not all these projects were for the same lucky lady! While I didn’t have a lot of orders, the volume and complexity of my orders kept me busy. While I did create other things and start other projects, this was by far my most successful year in terms of finding my style and getting comfortable with my craft.
Thank you to all my followers and customers in 2022 and I hope to get back out there and create some more custom embroidery and maybe spread my wings to other ventures!

‼️ATTENTION FOLLOWERS‼️
I know it's been a little but quiet around here. There have been some life changes that happened over the last couple months and I am working through them at this time. Right now, I've been needing a break from creating and trying to sort out my new apartment and try to sort out a new office space. Unfortunately at this time, I cannot create any new material and I will be limiting myself to some smaller projects over the holidays.

I am hoping to have things sorted out for the new year and come back to making embroidery and new content.

Thank you
- kB

I know it’s been quiet around here for a while, but I just came to the end of another year long project. This one was bittersweet for me to finish but I am so happy they are finally done and put together! My best friend of almost thirty years asked me to be her maid of honour almost a year ago exactly, but she also asked me to be a part of her big day in a much more profound way. I am so proud to be able to show off my art and my passion to all her wedding guests and give her the most personal touch for her big day. I was able to make four unique patterns and apply it to twenty table numbers. Every single one was designed and made by me, with the bride involved in the process every step of the way. In true Manitoba Mennonite fashion, we even thrifted the fabric from the local Goodwill store and I personally think, her choice in fabric and colours completely knocked the project out of the park!

Thank you again Stephanie for choosing me to be a part of your big day in more ways than one. I love you to the moon and back and I can’t wait to stand beside you next month!

🌈☀️❄️🌤⛈🌈

Well here it is! My very first temperature wheel! I couldn’t be happier with the way that this turned out. This is an original pattern, designed completely by ME! Similar to the temperature trees I completed last year, every section of the circle is a month, and every leaf or flower represents a day. I coordinated the colours to the daily high for that day where blue is cold, green and yellow is warm, red is hot! I even included gold accents for special dates and birthdays. This one will be heading off to my grandparents in Winnipeg.

If you are interested in a piece such as this one, please send me a DM and I can get you started on one right away! This pieces are quite time consuming, so if you wish to get one sooner than later, please let me know asap.

This is a little behind the scene look and listen to what I do while I am embroidering and designing. Most of the time, I am listening to one of the three hilarious podcasts listed below. I am a HUGE true crime fan and the musings of these podcast host keep me entertained all. the. time. If you’re looking for something a little raunchy but also tear inducing hilarity, please check out Last Podcast on the Left. You will not be disappointed!

Sometimes if I’m in the mood for a TV show, I’ll turn on Netflix and use it to catch up on some of my favourite shows. Right now on my circuit I have Schitt’s Creek, Osark, and Wentworth. This will be the second time I am watching Schitt’s Creek as I needed to take a break from the old faithful Office 😅

Lastly, if I know I’m going to be doing something that needs a lot of brain power, or I just want noise, I’ll throw on my liked songs playlist on YouTube. I mostly listen to electronic music and rock/metal (yes weird combo I know 😬) but lately it’s been on repeat for the last 6 months. I also started getting back into audiobooks and right now I have Stephen King’s “The Stand” playing through my iPad when I want something a little more spooky.
