Saying goodbyes to my "baby"...
Today is the last day I have all 6 dayhome children here... We are still operating next week, but it's very loose, with some kids starting school already and some transitioning to daycares. As of August 30th, we'll be closing our doors for good.
Today is the last day this house will see this many kids all at once. It will be quite interesting, as as soon as we bought this house, I opened the dayhome.... This house doesn't know any different.
The time of goodbyes is really hard, and it's emotional for everyone involved. It's really hard to see the playroom (with all amazing art and memories we have created together) gone. Im left with just a few keepsakes ❤️. I knew this day would come, but I didn't expect it to be this soon.
I love that parents get access to cheaper care these days, I just wish it wasn't at the cost of the livelihoods of so many amazing childcare providers who choose to operate privately, still offering top notch care...
5,5 years is a good run, but God knows I'll miss these little fingers and toes dearly ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I wish all the kids and their families all the best in their future adventures and saying big THANK YOU for entrusting me with the care of 11 amazing children over these years!!!
