Airbrush Workshop - Colour Portrait with Steve Young
Take your portrait painting further in this advanced airbrush workshop focused on creating expressive colour portraits. Designed for artists with solid airbrush experience, this hands-on class explores techniques for building realistic skin tones, blending smooth transitions, and developing depth through light and shadow.
Through guided practice, you’ll refine colour mixing, controlled layering, fine detail work, and the use of transparent colour to create subtle tonal shifts. Learn how to balance soft edges with sharp definition, capture facial features, and add convincing texture to skin and hair. You’ll leave with techniques you can apply to future portraits and other detailed airbrush projects.
