Very Good Crochet

Had the pleasure of making this likeness for a very proud pet parent. Capturing the texture of a Westie in crochet was tricky, so I decided to dabble in felting.

And since felting isn’t really compatible with my regular polyester favourites I dusted off a never been used 2.5 mm hook and got to work with a cotton blend.

This guy was the ultimate test of “trust the process” because after the base was done I had one shot to get the face right with the felting and thank the yarn gods it worked 😅

All told this little dude is about 10 inches tall - 12 with the ears. So happy he made his Christmas day debut and I can share him now 💗

Finding a niche that combines my love of making cuddly soft things with sports and meeting all of you was never on my bingo card. But I am sure happy it happened 💗

3 reasons why I incorporated Game Time Chickens

I realized that the main reasons I decided to create Game Time Chickens were’t immediately clear, even to my most dedicated followers.

It’s important to me that you understand exactly what we are trying to do over here at the coop. Especially after all these big changes!

TL;DR These chickens have created joy, community and positive impacts all summer long - Game Time Chickens is the proof that I don’t think they are even close to being done.

Hold on to your chickens! We’re in this for the long haul now 😉
