Local artists drop by the EAC Shop every week with new and exciting artworks to share with Edmontonians and visitors alike!

In August, we had colourful clay jewellery from Prairie Poly, beautiful stained glass pieces from Karen Henderson, and whimsical mushroom inspired mugs from Hideaway Studio.

Always a joy to have come by, one of the arts organizations we partner with dropped by with fun and unique hand built creations from Nina Haggerty Centre for the Arts artists!

Choosing to shop local strengthens our communities and supports the local entrepreneurs who help Edmonton thrive. According to the City of Edmonton, for every $100 spent at a small business, $66 stays in the local economy.

At the EAC Shop, we're strengthening the artistic community in downtown through activating the arts with opportunities for emerging and established local artists to sell their wares and tickets in a retail environment, partnering with arts organizations to showcase exhibitions, and being a welcoming space for those looking to discover the unique arts community here in our city ✨

👋 We'd love to show you the over 200+ local artists in our shop on Churchill Square and the experiences you can purchase to continue supporting the variety of artists that make up our diverse arts community.

Do you retail your artwork in Edmonton? We want to let you know about the Edmonton Arts Council's funding opportunities!

The Individuals & Collectives grant is currently open for applications and provides funding to individual artists and collectives to:

➡️ Work on creation, experimentation or research activities
➡️ Receive mentorship, attend a residency or other forms of professional development
➡️ Support artistic projects ready for implementation

A few of our EAC Shop artists have already been recipients over the last few cycles! If you're looking for examples or ideas of what could receive funding take a look below 🔽

▪️Benjamin Oswald participated in the 2026 International Academy of Ceramics Congress and an intensive master-led technical residency in Jingdezhen, China, to master advanced porcelain and ceramic techniques for a new sculptural series (Individuals & Collectives Winter 2026, Stream 2)

▪️Aeris Osborne researched Edmonton’s historic architecture through her YEG Old Houses paintings and 80+ heritage home photos to develop the foundation for a narrative art book that expands her visual storytelling practice (Individuals & Collectives Fall 2025, Stream 1)

▪️Jan Xu created a set of nine hand-painted watercolor illustrations inspired by insects at the Royal Alberta Museum, reimagined as playful characters to spark curiosity, encourage learning, and foster appreciation of biodiversity (Individuals & Collectives Fall 2025, Stream 1)

▪️Matthew Stepanic edited and designed six chapbooks from local authors through Agatha Press this year (Individuals & Collectives Fall 2025, Stream 3)

Fall intake is currently open with an application deadline of September 1, 2026 at 11:59AM (noon).

Ready to make unforgettable memories at this year's Edmonton Fringe Theatre festival?

We're happy to announce that we are once again partnering with the Fringe to sell Festival Guides IN-PERSON at the EAC Shop starting today, Wednesday, July 29th!

The Festival Guide is a perfect way to plan out your Fringe experience with friends and family, and be prepared for when tickets go on sale in early August. Fringing is for everyone and with 209 shows to choose from there are many memories to be made.

This is your last week to purchase Taste of Edmonton pre-sale ticket sheets before the price goes up at the festival starting on July 16th! 🎟️

Skip the in-person line-up at the festival and purchase your full sheets of 40 tickets ahead of time IN-PERSON at EAC Shop & Services to save with the early-bird pricing of $60.50 until 4:30PM on Wednesday, July 15th.

We're always looking for good recommendations for lunch, so drop in at the shop during your visit to the festival to let us know what's good on the square!

Local artists drop by the EAC Shop every week to update our stock with our customers favourites and new pieces to try.

This past week, Courtney Loberg, the author of the popular graphic novels "We Don't Go Through the Angelgrass," brought us their newest art book "God Head" to stock our bookshelves.

Colourful felted hearts from Art Dog Studio, iconic Edmonton and Alberta landscapes from Leanne's Fine Art, new Wiz Wensel textiles and expressive cards from Wilfred Kozub have added pops of colour throughout the shop.
