The Inspiration:
The inspiration behind the themes of our store comes from the Holy Qur’an from Sourat (Chapter) number fifty-five (55): “ALRAHMAN – THE MOST COMPASSIONATE.” The significance of this particular divine Sourat (Chapter) to us are:
1. First: the fact that it is the only Chapter in the entire Holy Qur’an that ALLAH (SWT) gave it one of His ninety-nine Mighty Names.
2. Second: Another
significance is its number 55, which to us denotes the essential importance of the five pillars of Islam, reemphasised by the double five.
3. Third: Throughout this divine Chapter, ALLAH (SWT) describes, in the most fetching way, the beauty and splendor of some of His magnificent creations on this earth as well as in Paradise. Such as, wondrous tapestries and fabrics, marvelous gemstones and corals, lush gardens with gushing springs, heavenly maidens, and more. Based on that inspiration, we have decided to create a store especially for the bold, beautiful and classy modern Muslim woman, to enrich and enliven her lifestyle. And accordingly, we have chosen the naming schemes, logo and aesthetics of our store and collections. Including any slide show of Islamic art or geometry, that we may occasionally display. AlRayhãn:
The name of our store, AlRayhãn, comes from the name of the fragrant marvelous sweet Basil plant and its fabulous purple flower, which ALLAH (SWT) mentioned in Chapter 55, Verse 12. The Collection:
All our collection lines follow the same inspirational theme and naming schemes, and thus have been named after exquisite fabrics or precious gemstones or ravishing corals or fragrant flowers or other wonderful creations of the ALL MIGHTY ALLAH (SWT) that HE mentioned throughout this particular Chapter of astounding revelations. For each collection, we have put its name in English, its original Qur’anic name, and its exact location in Chapter 55.
