Well it’s been a journey of growth and creating… so many chapters of inspired creations… capes, felt ball garlands, dresses, crocheting, sewing all sorts of things… while I’ve slowed my customs- I still find joy in making things. I’ve contemplated “closing up shop”- but I’m always too eager to make something for others … so while it seems it’s shifted to kilts, vests, letting out hems on kilts or highland cow shirts… I’m still finding joy in all of those things. “I’m in my dance mom era” ;)

I’ve been quietly creating over here… I still find joy when I do it… it’s just more spread out in this chapter… my daughters are getting older, and I am wondering when they will ask me to stop making their birthday dresses… I’m pleased to say my 10 year old wanted one still, and proudly selected her fabrics and vintage buttons herself… just in time to celebrate her this weekend 💕

Lest we forget… I don’t usually advertise that I crochet poppies, but it seems the least 2-3 years I’ve been asked. I don’t make them to take away from the veterans poppy campaign- I do it with the utmost respect for our veterans and those that serve our country - past and present- I always contribute to the veterans poppy fund- even on behalf of these ones I make- and myself and my family. I just got tired of the pins falling out of my jacket, and poking my kids as we got into our jackets for the 2 weeks we wear them in remembrance… fun fact: I was the student council member throughout high school that organized the Remembrance Day Ceremony for our school…
