At Bissell Thrift Shop, every donation does more than just find a new home; it creates impact for both people and the planet.
Who else remembers the three Rs? Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.
Here’s what that looks like in action:
🌎 Items donated to our thrift shop are shared with individuals and families accessing programs at Bissell Centre, helping meet immediate needs and support stability.
🌎 Anything not needed right away is reused through our thrift shop, giving it a second life in the community.
🌎 This helps reduce the amount of clothing and household goods that end up in landfills.
🌎 And through our partnership with Quantum Lifecycle, we’ve recycled over 18,300 pounds of old technology in 2025.
Because the reality is that poverty affects every part of a person’s life, without stability, people are often forced to focus on day-to-day survival. Access to the right supports at the right time can change that.
