Sunscreen blocks UV-B rays which are necessary to catalyze the production of Vitamin D in our skin. Consider supplementation for those who live in Canada or who regularly use sunscreen. Your body with thank you!

While both chemical and mineral sunscreens in North America protect against UV-B rays equally as well, chemical sunscreens do not protect against UV-A rays as well as the mineral sunscreens. UV-A rays are the cause of premature aging, skin wrinkles, sun spots and cellular damage. UV-B rays are the cause of sun burns and skin cancer.

Our furry loved ones can ingest your medications from your skin if they lick the areas that you apply topical medications. There are reports of toxicity in animals from pain/anti-inflammatory creams, such as Voltaren and diclofenac pain gels/creams. Please cover up the areas that you have applied medicated creams to prevent your pets from licking it. If there is any potential of exposure, contact your vet or call a pet poison hotline.
