There's a light at the end of the tunnel! We've got the store about 80% back to pre-flood conditions. 😊

We spent last week sorting out a good portion of the upstairs, the new furnace will be installed next week, and that just leaves one wall in the repair department to be fixed. Then we're left with only a bit more carpet shampooing and cleanup of the last few bits.

Note: Fixing the wall in the repair department means we'll have to pack up and dismantle some shelves, but with any luck we can schedule the bulk of it so that it won't have too much of an impact on repairs. If it WILL disrupt the repair department, we'll let you know.

Been a crazy ride but we're almost at the end of it. Shout out to our landlord who has been incredibly helpful through this whole process, and to our customers who have been patient and understanding. High fives all around! 🖐️

Oh forgot to mention, last week the guy came to inspect the furnace, and guess what? It had a LOT of water in it, so it's also going to need to be replaced. 🤨

We've been waiting in limbo for *anything* restoration-wise to start inside the store, but it turns out that the holdup has been because all the insurance companies are waiting to make sure the roof is fixed before doing any further work inside.

They've got it MOSTLY sorted and should be completely done with the roof in the next few days, and then the chaos will finally move inside.

Update: Everything is still chaotic at Dominion Vacuum! 🤨

We're still waiting on the restoration team so half of our front sales area stuff is shoved into the other half, our repair department is still mostly closed, AND because our storage room was affected by the flood and we don't have any place to put anything, we're not really ordering stock at the moment.

However, if you're looking for any machine we don't have, we can order it in for you and have it within a couple days (for SEBO) and usually about a week for everything else.

Please bear with us and (hopefully - fingers crossed, toes too!) we'll get through this reasonably quickly.

Couldn't fit ALL the fans in one photo, but here is a portion of them. They came to pick them up today, so we can hear again! Now we're just waiting to find out what our next steps will be. Fingers crossed.
