Rare Gems is hosting its Second Escalation League

The league will be on a twelve-week schedule, with rounds lasting two weeks. Players will select a single Faction and will field that team for the rest of the event. Players will not be able to select a new Faction later in the league.

Entry is $50 and sign-ups will be open until the start of the league. The start date of the league is July 21st 2026. Rounds will last for two weeks. So Round one Pairings will go up on the morning of 21 July, and results are due on August 4th. The league will follow this pattern for its entirety. Payment must be received by the start of week one. Failure to pay by COB 21 July 2026 will result in termination of participation in the Escalation League. Players must sign up in store. Prizing will be based on the number of entries.
How an Escalation League Works
Staged Point Increases: Leagues typically scale up every 3 to 4 weeks, going from 500 → 1,000 → 1,500 → 2,000 points.
Hobby Focus: Points are frequently awarded for building and painting your miniatures, not just for winning games.
New Player Friendly: Escalation leagues are tailored to help both newcomers and veterans adapt to the newly updated Warhammer 40k 11th Edition Armageddon Launch Box Set and core rules.
The 11th edition features Force Dispositions that determine mission pairings and specific map combinations based on the armies being played. Another major shift is that Embarked Unit Abilities—specifically leader abilities—can now function while a unit is in a transport, removing previous 10th-edition restrictions.
