I always bring a blanket. Sometimes my seat is wet and I want to sit on it. Other times I put it on the floor cuz the floor is so hot on my bare feet. Other times it’s a cold ride home and I can stay warmer. What’s one thing you always bring fishing?

Wiped out my new phone, including the SIM card. I have it fixed now but my last update to the iCloud was December 2025, so I lost a lot of your contact info if you have pre-ordered Minnows or Worm’s for last week of August and month of September please call me and give me your name and phone number so that I can re-enter you into my contacts. 🎣 Saturday’s at Elk Lake Bait

There’s something pretty special about an early Saturday morning in Northern Ontario. The lake is calm, the air has that late-August feel to it, and somewhere somebody is already in the boat hoping today is the day they catch the big one. 🌲

Whether you’re heading out for pickerel, pike, bass, or just spending a few peaceful hours on the water, sometimes the best part of fishing is everything that happens in between — hearing the loons, spotting an eagle overhead, or watching the mist lift off the lake.
