After careful consideration, the Falher Pirates have made the difficult decision to take a leave of absence from the North Peace Hockey League (NPHL) for the 2026–27 season.
Unfortunately, we simply don’t have the player numbers needed to ice a competitive team this year. This wasn’t an easy decision, but we believe taking a year off is the right move for the organization.
We want to make it very clear that this is not the end of the Falher Pirates. Our full intention is to regroup, rebuild and return to the NPHL for the 2027–28 season.
We’d like to thank our players, coaches, volunteers, sponsors and especially our fans and community for the incredible support you’ve shown the Pirates over the years.
We look forward to seeing everyone back at the rink when the Pirates return.
