Nufloors Fernie is looking for a dynamic and customer-focused Paint Department Manager to lead our Benjamin Moore Paint Department. We are a locally owned, family-oriented business that takes pride in quality products, expert advice, and exceptional customer service.
About the Role
As the Paint Department Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Benjamin Moore paint department while actively working to grow and expand the business. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of retail management. This role is ideal for someone entrepreneurial who is driven to increase sales, build relationships, and elevate the department.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and operate the Benjamin Moore paint department
Provide expert advice on paint products, colour selection, and application techniques
Oversee retail sales activities, including pricing strategies, merchandising, and promotional campaigns to maximize revenue
Handle customer service inquiries with professionalism, utilizing phone etiquette and strong communication skills to resolve issues promptly
Mix and tint paint accurately using in-store systems
Maintain inventory, place orders, and manage stock levels
Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations while maintaining a clean and organized store environment
Ensure department is clean, organized, and visually appealing
Build strong relationships with homeowners, contractors, and designers
Proactively seek out new business opportunities and grow paint sales
Assist with merchandising and product displays
Work collaboratively with the flooring and sales teams
What We’re Looking For
Experience in paint sales, retail, or a related field (preferred)
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Strong customer service and communication skills
Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask
Interest in colour, design, and home improvement
Comfortable learning technical aspects of paint systems and products
Self-motivated with a drive to grow and expand the department
Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
