Celebrating this girl next Friday 💗
Kristie is off to Kelowna soon and although I’m not quite ready to talk about her actually leaving yet, we are VERY ready to celebrate her.
She has been such a huge part of Eco-Refillary. She’s put up with my ideas, helped bring a million of them to life, kept things moving, made us laugh, and brought all of that Virgo energy into the shop. If something needs doing, she’s probably already doing it. Case in point. 😂
There are people who come into a business and work there, and then there are people who become part of it. Kristie became part of it.
So we’re having a party. Nothing fancy. Just drinks, some snacks, good people and a chance to celebrate this incredible human before her next adventure.

We’ve done the loud bars. We’ve yelled “WHAT?” across enough tables. We’ve paid for enough overpriced drinks.

Nobody tells you that one of the weirder parts of getting ‘older’ is developing extremely specific standards for extremely boring things.

The right hand soap. A really good dish brush. Your favourite laundry detergent. A water bottle that is somehow superior to all other water bottles.

Things 20-year-old you would have absolutely no opinion on.

There are a lot of things they’ll need when they head off to college. Most of them aren’t very exciting.

Toothbrush. Toothpaste. Razors. Shampoo + conditioner. Hand soap. Body soap.

But they’re also the things they’ll use every single day.

Add in some Beck’s Broth hot chocolate, their favourite tea and a few comforts from home, and suddenly the practical stuff makes a pretty great send-off.

Give us a budget and we can put together a box filled with things your college kid will actually use and probably need you to restock before Thanksgiving. 👀
