Today we recognize International Polar Bear Day, a time to reflect on the connection between polar bears, sea ice, and life in the North.

Polar bears are an important part of the land, culture, and way of life in Northern communities. As climate change continues to affect sea ice and wildlife habitats, it reminds us how important it is to care for the land, water, and animals that communities rely on.
