In a wee little basement in the home of Christina Marcano. Christina started in the clothing business over ten years ago when she co-founded an active wear company called Skyler Clothing. Skyler grew quickly and by 2008 they had three stores over two-hundred wholesale accounts and regular appearances on the Shopping Channel and then…the recession hit. The company started to spiral out of control a

nd as a last ditch effort Christina went to pitch her case on CBC’s the Dragons Den. The response was phenomenal. She received an outpouring of support but after a bit of soul searching she realized Skyler wasn’t her true dream. She closed Skyler down and headed back to her basement where she got to work building her true dream - Silver Icing. An amazing brand that offers comfy chic clothing that won’t break the bank. In 2013 Silver Icing launched and is now a thriving online shop with a network of independent stylists. As a young mom, Christina knew how important a work life balance is. She was tired of driving 2 hours a day back and forth from work. She loved being able to make her kids lunch or take them to a park on a sunny afternoon. Being a stay at home working mom was exactly what her family needed and it is from this experience that she committed to building a company that other moms and women could be a part of. Her greater vision is to provide women with the option to balance life and work by having the opportunity to work from home during hours that don’t disrupt the family lifestyle. Becoming an Online Styilst does just that. It is the best of both worlds, everything is online so you can commit as much or as little as you like. You can work when the kids go to bed or nap during the day. Everything can be done online, including pop up shops, so there is no need to sacrifice evenings or weekends to host parties. Kim's Wide Open Spaces Top Review: I bought this top when it first came out and it is now one of my favourite workout tops. It's breathable as the back is open and nice and lightweight. It's super soft and I love the drawstring detail around the bottom. It holds it in place so it doesn't flop around while you're running etc. I've washed mine plenty and it hasn't pilled yet! I am wearing the size small and it fits great.

Kim's Stardom Leggings Review: Wow, I love this sports bra!!!!! This new fabric is simply amazing. It's soft, stretchy and true to size. I personally like this bra more than the Warrior Bra. It covers more, it's a bit longer so it completely covers the parts of my back I'm not the biggest fan of (those pesky back rolls), it completely smooths me out and is nice and stretchy and smooth. The bra padding is my favourite part. No nips showing here! They are a really good quality bra pads and can easily be taken out and washed separately and put back in if desired. If you have a large chest, you can remove the bra pads indefinitely. The opening is bigger than most, making them easy to remove. There is a breathable mesh inner lining, allowing for moisture wicking abilities. This might be my favourite sports bra ever! 😮 I am in the size small and it fits great. These are TRUE TO SIZE unless very b***y. Size up if you typically do in sports bras.

Kim's Stardom Leggings Review: Let's talk about this new line of Exclusives fabric!!!!!!!!!! There is a full write up about the fabric and what's new in the description on the website but I will talk about it a bit here too. It's called 4 Way Comfort fabric, meaning it's got a bit of a different feel, not quite as shiny, a bit more soft, not quite as sleek and smooth feeling but absolutely amazing nonetheless. Now, these leggings only come in a 9.5" waistband but I am extremely confident that they still smooth you out and make you feel flawless. In comparison to our Original 8 Way stretch fabric, these leggings don't have a seam around the top of the 9.5" waistband. The rise has a smooth finish and smooths you out in all the right ways. I have included a photo in my jeans with the sports bra to show you just how smooth the leggings made my tummy. I feel absolutely amazing in these and I promise you guys will too. One thing to note, these are TRUE TO SIZE. I would not advise sizing down like we do in our other leggings. We only have the sample size smalls here right now in the leggings and bra.

Kim's Point it Out Flats Review: Yay flats!! Can it be spring now please? I want to wear these with every outfit, they're so comfy! The inner sole has a bit of cushion and I feel these will definitely work for a wide foot. They're a smooth, faux leather, making them nice and easy to clean. I am wearing the size 38 here and this is the size I will buy. For reference, I am normally a 39, sometimes 38, so if in between sizes, you can size down. I also have a somewhat wider foot and these fit very comfortably. This material will probably give a bit too, all my flats in the past have gotten a little looser over time. Now... which colour?!

Kim's Trademark Coatigan Review: Wow, just wow. I can't get over this blazer style coatigan!!!! It's buttery soft, thicker than a typical faux suede making it very warm but it just looks so darn good on! In my time here at SI, I haven't seen something like this so I am beyond excited for it! The collar stays in place, the pockets are an amazing feature and the cuffs can be secured in a number of way (ruched, folded), by the fabric tab attached to the sleeve. The length is flattering and it's not clingy or tight in any part of the body. I am wearing my normal size 36 and it fits great - very comfortable!

This sweater is the exact same fit as the Probably Late Sweatshirt and it features the Koala! This sweatshirt is so cozy and incredibly soft! I love that it has a bit of length to it, so it can easily be worn with leggings...But let's be real pockets make everything better! I'm wearing a large, and I love the fit!

Kim's Beauty Sleep Robe Review: Every woman/girl needs a plush robe!! It's seriously amazing!!! So soft and very comfortable. It has a small ribbon tie inside as well as the large tie on the outside to secure it closed! It has nice deep pockets, a must-have in a housecoat! I am wearing the size small and it fits perfectly making these robes TTS.

Kim's Fawned of You Onesie Review: I am wearing the size medium in this onesie and it fits so comfortably! I had initially worn the small sample in my IRL a while ago and I found it a bit too snug to be comfortable loungewear. The medium fits me much better (a size up from my typical small) and I love it! The zipper closure is up the front so it's very easy to wear/take off.

Christina's Happy Holidays Sloth Leggings Review: These leggings are the perfect way to add a little festive cheer to your wardrobe! I am wearing the L/XL and find them nice and comfy - not quite as tight as a legging typically is so I feel I could size down for a more fitted legging look. They are incredibly soft, typical Sho Sho materials, with a lot of stretch and the cutest festive prints! Plus you get 2 pairs in 1!

Christina's Hibernation Mode Onesie Review: These onesies couldn't be more adorable! They have a fuzzy plush outer fabric and a similar plush inner lining. The zipper closure up the front is very convenient and the little pockets are an added bonus! The hood is nice and large as I can wear it comfortably without feeling too tight in this piece. I am wearing the size medium here and it fits, however it's a little bit snug. My advice to you is size up for an extra comfy fit.

Kim's Lullaby Sleep Set Review: Ahhh these are so comfy and soft!!! These will seriously be some of your favourite PJ's. It's a soft velour fabric but it's not too thick. I'm a nice, comfortable temperature in these. They are super stretchy and the bottoms have a little bit of a higher waist so they're extra comfortable. I am wearing the size small here and love the fit, making these TTS.

Christina's Sleep Tight Sleep Dress Review: This medium-sized sleep dress fits me perfectly. The material is out of this world comfortable, not too thick but very warm. It's very soft and features great stretch. The length is perfect on me and one again, a pocket! Yay! You'll find me lounging around in this on a cold, windy Sunday morning with a hot cup of coffee in my hand!
