Typically, I don’t post personal things about my life on the business page, but this is one time I want to be open. 💛

When I first found reading, I was struggling deeply with PPA and PPD while raising a medically complex child who needed constant medical attention during the first few years of his life. Those years were heavy, exhausting, isolating, and honestly some of the hardest moments of my life.

Reading became my escape. It became the one thing that allowed me to breathe for a moment and reconnect with myself outside of hospitals, appointments, fear, and survival mode.

Pucking Around by Emily Rath was the very first book I picked up during that season, and I don’t think she will ever truly understand the impact her storytelling had on me. Her books gave me comfort during a time when I felt completely lost.

Now, years later, I own my own bookstore. A place built with love, community, and inclusivity at the center. A place where neurodivergent individuals and families are welcomed exactly as they are because I know firsthand how important safe spaces truly are.

In so many ways, I owe this dream and this journey to Emily Rath. Because if it wasn’t for her writing and the escape her stories gave me, I genuinely don’t think I would be the mother I am today or the businesswoman I’ve become.

And thanks to J. Wilder, I was able to receive this signed copy. Something that means more to me than words could ever explain. Thank you 🥹❤️‍🔥
