In a wee little basement in the home of Christina Marcano. Christina started in the clothing business over ten years ago when she co-founded an active wear company called Skyler Clothing. Skyler grew quickly and by 2008 they had three stores over two-hundred wholesale accounts and regular appearances on the Shopping Channel and then…the recession hit. The company started to spiral out of control a

nd as a last ditch effort Christina went to pitch her case on CBC’s the Dragons Den. The response was phenomenal. She received an outpouring of support but after a bit of soul searching she realized Skyler wasn’t her true dream. She closed Skyler down and headed back to her basement where she got to work building her true dream - Silver Icing. An amazing brand that offers comfy chic clothing that won’t break the bank. In 2013 Silver Icing launched and is now a thriving online shop with a network of independent stylists. As a young mom, Christina knew how important a work life balance is. She was tired of driving 2 hours a day back and forth from work. She loved being able to make her kids lunch or take them to a park on a sunny afternoon. Being a stay at home working mom was exactly what her family needed and it is from this experience that she committed to building a company that other moms and women could be a part of. Her greater vision is to provide women with the option to balance life and work by having the opportunity to work from home during hours that don’t disrupt the family lifestyle. Becoming an Online Styilst does just that. It is the best of both worlds, everything is online so you can commit as much or as little as you like. Kim's All About the Lace Top Review: This has got to be one of the prettiest tops I've worn in a while! I absolutely love the cute feminine look the lace gives off. The waffle blended fabric feels so nice on and gives it a bit of a different look. It fits a bit relaxed, making it super comfy while still looking so well put together! I'm wearing the size small and love the fit. This is the same fit and feel as the previous launch!

Kristina's All About the Lace Top Review: Black with lace and the length on this All about the Lace Top is perfect!!! It is light enough to wear this summer and when my arms haven’t seen the gym in years it adds the perfect sexy coverage. I am wearing an XL in this top with of course my favourite jeans Distress to Impress in a 16.

Kim's Ties on the Prize Maxi Dress Review: Favourite maxi dress to date, hands down! The level of softness is out of this world and the back is sooo flattering and pretty. Kim's Up, Up and Away Review: This is the most perfect crew neck! It's lighter weight but still amazing quality, so you can definitely wear this through spring and on summer nights. I loooove the off the shoulder look. I think it's so pretty and flattering on all body types. It's got great stretch and is sooo soft. I'm wearing the size small and love the relaxed fit.

Kim's Simple Beauty Tank Review: This tank compliments this sweater perfectly! The scalloped trim is so cute and feminine. It's got great stretch, not too clingy, not sheer and also incredibly soft. I'm wearing the size small and it fits perfectly.

Kristina's Review: Summer is here! Before I tried on this L/XL Mad About You Tank, I had a long-sleeved top on. Once I put this bright tank top on, I felt instantly energized! I love the v-neck on this and the length is perfect for me. This top is a must for me in all the colors!

Kim's Review: I'm mad about this tank!! Not only are these new colours so fun and bright, the tank itself sells me. The brand is Freeloader so you'll feel the same softness, stretch and relaxed fit as you do in the Christie's and Bright Side Tops. I'm in the S/M and like the fit because you can knot it, which I love doing. It makes it look like a totally different top! They're non-sheer, hide your bra straps and don't cling whatsoever. You can size down if you don't want it as loose. This is the same fit and feel as our last years launch 🙂

Jen's Review: Hands down my favourite outfit this year!!!! This skirt is over-the-top AMAZING!!! I am wearing the medium here, the small was okay but a little snug around the waist. I'd say almost-true-to-size, perhaps a little on the small side of tts.. If you are worried about muffin top, size up.. If you have abs of steel, tts.

This tank is fantastic, I love the slight v-neck, I am wearing the small and it's the perfect snug layering/ tucking in piece. This one is true to size.

The Denim Jacket!!!!! Seriously, how many is too many?!?!? This one is soft, stretchy and the light denim is so gorgeous!! I am wearing the 36 here which is perfect for me.. It is true to size.

Kim's Keep It Real Tee Review: This t-shirt is sooo soft. Perfect for spring and summer wear! It's not a tight, fitted top so it's super duper comfy! Its a lighter weight material but not too sheer. I'm not wearing anything other than a n**e colured bra underneath and I find it works fine. I'm in the size small and the fit is great.

Kim's Distress to Impress Denim Review: The Distress to Impress remind me of the Pristine Denim from Judy Blue, which are my FAVS! Sooo stretchy, not too thin, very soft denim. It makes it hard to believe you're actually wearing jeans. The distressing isn't too big that it will create big holes and I think the placement is perfect. I'm wearing wearing a size 7 we had here but my true size is 5 and those fit me better in the hips and waist, making these jeans totally TTS.

Kim's You Had Me At Aloha Dress Review: This is the perfect little simple summer dress! It's very lightweight and I love the elastic under the bust line. It adds shape and is still above your tummy so I find it flattering. The material feels like a nice cotton fabric and has some stretch. I'm in the size small and it fits perfectly.

Kim's Shake Your Palm Palms Dress Review: This one has got top be my personal favourite. I love the adjustable straps and the elastic under the bustline. This one doesn't necessarily flow out after the elastic but it doesn't cling either. I love the look of the slits up the sides. It allows you to walk more freely! Super lightweight with a cotton feel, this one is a winner! I'm wearing the size small and love the fit!

Kristina's You Had Me At Aloha Dress Review: Easy, simple, yet I can dress this up or dress it down. I can throw this on for an outside bbq or add some quick heels to go out for dinner! Again like the other style, it is very lightweight which I LOVE in the summer months. I'm in the XL and it fits me very well.

Kristina's Shake Your Palm Palms Dress Review: This dress is super lightweight and perfect for summertime weather! The slit makes it feel like a nontraditional maxi dress and the shorter length with my height makes it work! I'm wearing the XL and it fits me great.

FASHION FORWARD HEEL REVIEW:

Kim's Review: These have got to be the cutest and comfiest heels I ever did wear! The straps don't dig in and the ankle strap can be moved around too so you can have the buckle on either side or at the back. I'm wearing the size 8 and they're definitely TTS.

Carolina’s Review: In the Fashion Forward Heel, I am wearing the 8 and it is loose for me. This is a wide fit so more room in the heel and slightly wider in the footbed and cross strap. Visually, it does not look very wide but you can see the difference when you wear it. I would either take my regular size 7.5 or size down to 7 since it is a wide fit.

Christina’s Review: Va va boom, I’m pretty sure Aaron is going to love this one on me 🙈 I have to admit it makes me feel hawt! I adore the v detail of the lace and how flattering it is. I find this dress tight though! I am in the medium and it totally fit but it was snug! If you like a little more room you may want to go up a size. However, this is meant to be a fitted dress so you don’t want it to be loose I would just prefer a teensy bit more room.

Amy's Review: This LBD is best described as sexy elegance! I am wearing size medium UTDS which gives me the confidence to wear this form fitting number! I tried on both a L & XL (wearing an XL in this IRL) and based on my personal fit preference, I decided to size up. Do not miss out on this dress!!

LOVE LETTER LACE DRESS REVIEWS:

Christina’s Review: Whoa is this dress ever sexy! I love the length! The open back, the crochet lace, the colour!!! Pretty much everything about it. I’m in a size 8 and the fit is amazing. I would say I’m a solid 8 right now so it fits exactly as I would predict. I had a teensy bit of room in my hips and things but that is very typical. There is no stretch but the fit is so good that it isn’t necessary. There is so much that is right with this dress I can’t express how much I love it enough.

Carolina's Review: This is my kind of dress! I used to buy a dress if I had specific occasion but I have learned over the years to buy it if you like it and either save it for the occasion or create your own. I am wearing the size 4 here and I am usually a 4/6 and size Small so I this size fits me best. I would opt to wear a strapless bra or tuck the straps down.

Jen's Making Moves Wedge Heel Review: I am normally a 7.5 in most shoes, and the 7.5 fit me best in these. I have a "normal" width foot (airing more to wide than to narrow). If you have narrow feet, I would size down 0.5 of a size, or if you have a wide foot size up 0.5. These are super comfortable!!! City Classified Comfort does not disappoint.

Kim's Making Moves Wedge Heel Review: These shoes are super comfortable. I'm an 8 in City Classified and the 8 fit me nicely here too! The soles are smooth and comfy and the buckle allows you to tighten and loosen based on your ankle size. The straps are smooth around the edges so you don't have to worry about uncomfortable rubbing! I walked around in them for about half an hour and they were awesome. Could have kept them on all day!

Jen's Feeling Tropical Sunglasses Review: The are super comfortable and great fitting. They don't pinch or squeeze my head anywhere, yet they stay on snugly ❤

Jen's Total Paradise Beach Cover-Up Review: This is a one size fits all and it truly does! It drapes really nicely and is so easy to wear going to and from the water!!

Kim's Life's Luxuries Kimono Review: How pretty is this kimono!! It's so cute as an outfit but can totally be used as a beachy cover up as well. It's got actual arm holes, which I love. Kim's Bad to the Bone Moto Pants Review: These pants rock!!! So easy to wear as they're pull on. They're super comfortable with a thick, stretchy waistband. No fussing with buttons or zippers. They are a mid rise pant and feel almost like a denim but are really nice and soft! My favourite thing about them is how stretchy they are! They truly are amazing!!! The colour is so pretty and just perfect for springtime too. I'm wearing the size small and they fit me well. I would stick with this size. I'm wearing the Tahiti Sandals in gold here in an 8 and I love the look with these! The gold matches the metal detailing in the Grab and Go Handbag and a lot of other accessories too! Love these sandals.

Kim's Follow the Flowers Top: This outfit is made by this gorgeous top! It feels textured just like the Born to Bloom Top but is nice and lightweight and not clingy. I love the rounded hemline, I find it really flattering! The fabric isn't the stretchiest but there's a zipper at the back for easy wear and removal. No getting stuck in this one lol! I'm wearing the size small and it fits me perfectly.

Kim's Grab and Go Handbag Review: This is totally one of my fav bags. It's super versatile and surprisingly spacious. The colours are pretty neutral and go with a lot! We currently don't have the mustard bag here so no IRL available at this time. Also, I folded in the sides and snapped it shut and it creates a fourth way to wear this bag! Yay!
