The one thing I seem to struggle with the most with painting is my patience because I get all these ideas all this ambition but if I follow it it usually leads to my paintings being ruined.
I also only ever see the flaws in my paintings so it makes it really frustrating, knowing what I want but not being at the level I need to be to achieve it. I've finally learned that practice and watching other people paint is the only way I'll get better, it's not just magically going to happen, and I need to put the work in to see the progress. I usually get burnt out and quit painting after a couple weeks, my goal this time is to stick with it, and i hope by this time next year I'll be rewarded with my hard work.
