Hey everyone! 🌻
I feel the need to share a little update with you all, just with where I am at and what a year it’s been.
I can’t believe it’s been a year.
A year since losing my mom. A year of figuring out how to keep going, how to keep the Farmhouse going, and how to find my footing in a business that was something she and I built together.
So, for the most part, the Farmhouse stayed the same.
And honestly, I needed it to.
But somewhere along the way, I started to realize that staying the same wasn’t necessarily where we were meant to go.
I’m in a different season of life now. I have a young family, and slowing down and being more intentional has become really important to me. I’ve also spent a lot of time thinking about what the Farmhouse means to me, what my mom and I created together, and what I want its next chapter to look like.
And for a while I thought that was selling and moving on, and maybe that might be something one day, but waiting for that right person to carry on that legacy is most important to me. So for now that means carrying the legacy on myself with my family beside me.
I want to create space for my own ideas and vision to come to life, while still carrying the heart of what we built together.
And that’s where I see the Farmhouse going.
More than just a coffee shop or a place to shop, I want the Farmhouse to become a little bit of a lifestyle.
Because I hear it all the time…
“I just love it here.”
“I love the feeling in this place.”
“I could sit here all day.”
And that feeling is exactly what I want to bring home with you.
Over the next few months you’ll start to see us introduce more things that fit into that slow, cozy, intentional kind of life items to bring into your homes.
Think your favourite coffee in your favourite mug.
A soft blanket on the couch.
A candle burning in the evening.
That is the feeling I want the Farmhouse to be.
And maybe this next chapter is a little bit about me, too.
Learning that moving forward doesn’t mean leaving the past behind.
