Grouting done, scrubbed clean, polished and framed. 👍🏻💃🏼💃🏼💃🏼❤️

Meet Josephine, the vibrant and flashy cousin of Gerome. Some of you will remember the TV star Gerome the giraffe of The Friendly Giant, a children’s television program that ran from 1958-1985. 🥴😁
This next week I will be doing a much easier mosaic and will set a couple dates for upcoming workshops.

As you can see I chose black grout. 😳 Yup and boy does it make the colours pop. I have to let it dry some more before I can continue buffing off the grout. 😁

I should be finished gluing all the glass pieces tomorrow then wait until the glue is set then to grout.

I will be posting workshop dates as soon as I have costed out the 3 types, they will be different sizes and complexity or you can choose your frame and if you have your own image just let me know what it is and I can approve.

Giraffe Glass Mosaic cont….

We are almost there. My trusty assistant, manager, husband, helper, gopher, slave, he’s the best, anyways he makes the zinc metal frames that encase the glass panels and he also makes the wooden frames . As you can see the frame can be painted or stained.

I have cleaned the glass and glued the giraffe body, now for the sky, tree branches and leaves then it will have to sit for 72 hours before I can grout.

Giraffe Glass Mosaic step by step how to continued……
- Glass pieces are cut and dry fit. I will likely do some tweaking in the neck before cleaning the glass and starting to glue the pieces in place.
- I will be grouting this once everything is glued and the glue has dried.
