And now all the pieces are trimmed and the same size. Ready for some touchups and then adding stabilizer to ensure every square is nice and straight. The hard parts are done. Now the fun part of sewing.

Layout confirmed. Onto the next stage, rough outline cutting of the pieces. Next up cutting to the correct, precise size and then adding stabilizer to all the squares. Moving right along to sewing. Stay tuned.

Some subtle changes to the layout. I look for things like balancing colours, logos, numbers. Moving just a couple of pieces can make a big difference.

Step 2 - figure out a design. After many, many possibilities laid out on my very sophisticated work table (my bed lol) I have sent this one off to the client. We will work together to decide the final pattern and then the cutting and sewing fun begins!
