Big News from CAPE Thrift! 🥳
We are thrilled (and a little nervous!) to announce that we now have a 24/7 donation bin available for after-hour donations! You can find it right outside of the CAPE Society building at 40 Maclean Street, Glace Bay.
This will give more participants at CAPE Society the opportunity to be involved at Cape Thrift by receiving your generous donations.
PLEASE BE MINDFUL OF THE FOLLOWING:
CLOTHING, SHOES AND PURSES ONLY: No breakables, please! We want to keep our staff and participants safe from broken glass or ceramic.
BAG YOUR ITEMS: Please ensure all donations are bagged securely.
INSIDE THE BIN ONLY: Items left on the ground may be damaged by weather or pests and, unfortunately, will have to be thrown away.
That being said, we also ask that you please be mindful of WHAT you donate so we can continue to provide this service, not just for participants, but for those of you that have a hard time making it to the store during our current business hours.
NOTE: 24/7 video surveillance is in place to ensure proper and safe use of the donation bin. Our number one priority is the safety of participants, staff and our community members.
