River & Reef Aquatics Co. is looking for a friendly, dependable person to join our little fish-loving family!

This is a part-time position consisting of three 6-hour shifts per week, with the possibility of becoming full-time as the store continues to grow.

We’re looking for someone who:

🐟 Enjoys working with people and animals
🧽 Isn’t afraid to get their hands wet
😊 Brings a positive attitude
⏰ Is reliable and ready to work
🌱 Is excited to learn and grow with us

Aquarium experience is a bonus, but a willingness to learn is what matters most!

The new fish have arrived and are already swimming in the tanks at River & Reef Aquatics!

We have beautiful discus, rainbowfish, angelfish, ropefish, plecos, loaches, corydoras, eels, a blue lobster and plenty more ready to see! Whether you love colourful community fish, stunning showpieces or something a little unusual, this drop has something for almost every freshwater aquarium.

We’re now open late twice a week! 🎉

🌙 Saturdays: 11 AM–8 PM

We hope these extended hours make it easier for everyone to stop by after work, take their time exploring, and get everything they need for their aquariums! 🐟🌿

Miss Pancake is keeping it classy in her little bowler hat, Ryn is ready for a sunny day, and the datnoid is bundled up for another Grande Prairie morning! Clearly, the fish at River & Reef have excellent taste… although we may need to have a little talk with that jester betta. 🤣

We’re currently open from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays, but we would love your input!

Would you prefer that we shift our hours—opening later in the morning and staying open later in the evening?

Maybe Friday or Saturday isn’t the best day for later hours. Would Sunday work better for you? You let us know!

🎉🐟 WE DID IT—1,000 FOLLOWERS! 🐟🎉

Eight months ago, River and Reef Aquatics was only a dream that I hoped our community would believe in. I still remember making our very first $100 sale—and today, we are celebrating 1,000 amazing people following our journey!

To some, 1,000 followers may only be a number. To me, it represents every person who has walked through our doors, travelled to visit us, shared one of our posts, recommended our store, left us a kind review or simply encouraged us to keep going.

Building River and Reef has taken a lot of hard work, long days, difficult moments and a whole lot of heart—but seeing the support we have received makes every bit of it worthwhile.

Thank you, Grande Prairie and all of our surrounding communities, for believing in this little locally owned aquarium store. Some of you travel a long way to visit us, and that support means more than you could ever know.
