It's a slow morning, relaxing before I put in hours of work finishing the shop today. It's been an absolute roller coaster the past few months, and I've completely pulled through when I probably should have given up.

The only things left to do are dispose of the broken bookshelves, store the overstock books, clean, and make sure everything is priced correctly.

I'll be announcing the opening day today!

In light of Twilight turning 20 this year, I had to make a complete set. Limited edition 20 year anniversary box set, coffee mug, book sleeve, and a bookmark.

I only have 2 box sets in stock, and once they're gone, they're gone. The box set alone retails for $174.

The store is an absolute disaster still, but these are my hours! Opening is slow, because this is hard work. 😂

Just imagine 1,400 books unorganized, and bookshelves in odd places. 😂 on top of the books I have approximately 1,200 bookish items! Clothing, bags, lipchap, cosmetic bags, book counters, puzzles, 3D wooden puzzles, bookmarks, mini books/mini bookshelves, candles, boardgames. There's so much, I can't even think of everything on the spot.

The building im in is closed at 5pm on weekdays, and on weekends. I will still be there! Just text or call me for building access!

What makes my bookstore different from the others?

Nearly every book in my store has a "Read Me" label on it. There's a couch and book-themed blankets where you can get cozy and read the first 10–20 pages to see if you like it. Not a fan? Pick up another one. Nothing is worse than buying a $40 book, getting 20 pages in, and hating everything about it.

I carry two types of used books. The first are books that have been marked by other bookstores and would otherwise be destroyed. Those are sold at 50% off the retail price.

The second type of used books have been previously read and are located by the couch. Any of those copies can be read in store. If they're in good condition, they'll be marked at 75% off the retail price.

My book distributors are Canadian! There are a few titles from the United States and the UK, but for the most part, everything comes from British Columbia and Ontario.

Everything other than my books is sourced from small business owners in Canada, the United States, and Norway.

I don't just carry one genre, I have books for everyone. I take book requests, host giveaways, and offer changing monthly deals. I also sell book themed clothing.

(I'm writing this while sitting on the couch in my store. It's so comfy.)

Im still dealing with the opening. I have yet to have a date. I'm so sorry. When I do, ill have a 15% sale on the entire store, a deal on amount spent, and a give away entry with every purchase for a free vintage bookshelf board game. $60-$80 retail value.

There is absolutely no way Cozy Den is going to be open tomorrow. I have so much inventory that I need to carry upstairs into my store, and there are still shelves that need to be built. Trying to do all this while having my 6 year old with me is very very challenging. When I do open, I am going to have a 15% sale for the first 3 days because of this opening already being pushed twice.
