I’ve heard it all before, but this glaze doesn’t drip! Well, when you put carvings going all the way down the side of the pot, and glaze is liquid in the kiln, it will run in those grooves you made for it.
Tip: about 5 mm up from the bottom trim a hard edge so that the glaze stops at that ledge. Alternatively, you can prop it up so that it drips off the vessel and you can then sand the glaze drips off.
