Emily is a 29 year old q***r & neurodivergent local Guelph baker who has over 11+ years of baking experience! She makes handmade from scratch decorated sugar cookies with a lil dopamine in each bite 🍪✨
Decorating cookies is her passion, and tries to be as eco friendly as possible with eco cookie bags & thrifted decor pieces.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👧 Fantastic Fords
We are a family of creators and comic book readers. We love the art of story telling and creating art. Our two youngest members make bracelets, perler bead art, sculptures, colouring pages, comics and stories. Our matriarch knits and crochets fun and beautiful creations. Dad helps with stories. We come for the experience and donate half of all money made to the Food Bank. We love the Dragon and meeting amazing creators. We are The Fantastic Fords.

At Grammy's Imagination we celebrate the beauty of handmade artistry. My shop has unique and affordable gifts for just about anyone! Polymer clay, wood, wire art, signs, nostalgic items and so much more! I also accept custom orders for those that want more personalized items.

🐰 Just a Critter
Lisa is a fibre artist focusing on amigurumi and floral style crochet. She focuses on small details making big differences in simple structures to bring life to her work.
Her business, Just a Critter, started on the idea that small actions and changes can have large ripple effects, and that no action for change is too small. She creates each piece one at a time, often making one-of-a-kind colour combinations on larger pieces, always focusing on whimsy, slightly nerdy, cottage-core styles.

September 30th is Truth and Reconciliation Day. This isn’t just an ordinary day off, it’s a day for settlers on Turtle Island (North America) to study and to renew commitment to the 94 calls to action in the 2008 Commission report.

Ongoing water crises, wildfire displacement, the epidemic of missing and murdered Indigenous women, and the legacy of residential schools show us that this is not a thing of the past, but something we must name in the here and now. There is still a long way to go and we all have an active role.

Here, in what is known as Guelph, we work and play on territory under the Dish With One Spoon Covenant (otherwise known as a Wampum, or agreement of laws) between the Anishinaabek and Haudenosaunee Confederacy. It compares the land we live on to a dish to which have a responsibility. It describes our access to that dish through the metaphor of a single spoon we all must pass and share.

If no one takes too much; there will always be enough.

In this spirit, we are using our oval display this month to highlight some Indigenous artists, writers, and stories. Stories are a powerful way to connect to ideas and solidify understanding. They are a wonderful place to start unravelling what it means to live in good relationship with this land and our Aninishinasbe, Haudenosaunee, Inuit, Mètis, Cree, and Dene neighbours.

✒️ Mike Del Mundo is a renowned comic book artist known for his vivid art, creative storytelling and concept-driven covers. Del Mundo is building a universe at 3 Worlds 3 Moons with Jonathan Hickman & Mike Huddleston.
Del Mundo lives happily in Toronto, Ontario with his wife and two kids. He collaborates with Marco D’Alfonso who has blessed many of Mike’s interiors with his colour wizardry.

🖌️ Valentine De Landro is a Canadian comic book artist, illustrator, and designer. His credits include titles from Marvel, DC Comics, IDW, Valiant, and Dark Horse. He’s known for Marvel Knights: 4 and X-Factor. He is the co-creator of Bitch Planet with Kelly Sue DeConnick.

✏️ Cranston is a professional doodler, of sorts! Working with the public for an extended period provided plenty of time to pick out daily struggles, joys, frustrations and more from the minds of the people; from that was born a short series of one-page comics depicting adventures both one-off and ongoing that aimed to tell stories and tickle the imagination through an odd cast of characters. With helping hands from every angle, Cranston moved from pen scribbles to a full-fledged book documenting the journeys meant at first only to cheer the day-to-day visitors at their workplace, and they have no plans of stopping anytime soon.
