After doing research for probably more than a year, I found this on marketplace. Makes my campbell hausfeld look tiny. This one popped up and I couldn't believe how clean it looked and was single phase. Drained most of the oil before loading but still got some drainage because we had to lay it on it's back to bring it home. Hopefully didn't hurt anything. Shout out to Bill for helping load at his end and thanks to Chris and his boys for helping stand it back up when we got it home. Now just have to figure out how to get it into the back room where it's much cleaner.

I hate this cold then thaw weather. Just stay cold already. Ice dams were back again. I read about putting calcium chloride in socks and laying them perpendicular across your gutters. I was skeptical to say the least. I have to say, I'm impressed. In probably not even an 18 hour period, they had melted through 8-10 solid inches of ice, leaving a nice 3-4 inch wide trough for the water to escape. The warm weather today has made the gutters run freely as well. Ahh, winters in Ontario..

Haven't been posting as much as I should be, but here's a little something. Oh and Happy New Year to everyone. This job made us get the CNC going again. By us I mean Rae Ann, she's the one who has actually taken the time to learn the basics of the Longmill. It's way too dusty in the shop for the machine so it resides in the bunkie. We take the laptop and the control board in the house when it's not running as we only turn on heat when required. This was a welcome challenge, stimulates the brain. Red oak freestanding awards with a window. Front and back were machined individually but then I 2 sided taped them together to clean them up. They then stay together right to the end. Pardon my low budget photography, not my strong point. Contemplated getting a GoPro but just can't pull the trigger on that yet. Stay safe everyone and all the best for 2026.

Haven't posted in quite some time. Rae Ann brought home a picture of these candle holders that one of the other ladies wanted. Sometimes just working from a picture can be difficult but I think they turned out pretty good.

Update on the walnut presentation boxes. All painted up and assembled with gold stop hinges. Black felt on the inside bottom and on the outside bottom as well. These will look good with a lasered logo or some script on the lid. Try to stay cool this week everyone, looks like it's going to be a scorcher.

A couple different stages of some walnut presentation boxes. First pic shows the boxes all glued up and sanded all the way around. Second pic shows the lids cut off and drying on the rack after being completely coated with sealer. These are made to hold a lasered piece of crystal for an award. More pics to come. Two tier walnut base for a customer. This one was fun to do. Made me think a little bit more. I'll have to see if I can get a pic of the finished base after the customer works their magic. Don't mind the clutter on my shipping bench 😃.

Another nice order of these. The customer calls them a memory box. They put a custom lasered piece of acrylic in the door and they get mounted on the wall outside the room in a long term care facility. The resident can put pictures, medals, small keepsakes, maybe memories of a loved one. I always enjoy doing these. They have a locking clasp and the shelf is removable.
